Lesson Materials

 

Guitar Students: Students will need to purchase lesson materials from time to time. The first book for most guitar students is Hal Leonard's Essential Elements for Guitar, Book 1. In addition, students should remember to bring their guitar, picks, tuner, and any other handouts given each week. Students will also be provided with a folder in which to keep copies of music and other hand-outs. Students should bring this folder each week.

 

Drum Students: Drum students will typically need to purchase a copy of "Drumming the Easy Way" by Tom Hapke, or Alfred's Beginning Drum-Set Method, as well as Alfred's Snare Drum Method, Book 1.  We will discuss this at a students first lesson.

 

As lessons progress for any given student, we may discover that a different book will work better. We will have recommendations at that time.
